Brighton auto interiors plant to close, layoff 200


Brighton - A company that makes automotive interior components has announced it will close its Brighton plant by the fall.

About 200 employees will be affected by the decision of Intier Automotive Interiors to close its Atreum-Brighton plant.

Intier Automotive is a division of Canadian auto parts maker Magna International.Company officials say they will help place affected employees in open positions where possible.They say the closing reflects the need to bring work force levels in line with challenging North American market conditions.
