Pepsi pops layoff news
ATLANTA (CNS) — Pepsi Bottling Group Inc., the world’s second-largest soft-drink distributor, plans to lay off 700 employees as it combines operations in Canada and the U.S. to lower costs.
The moves will cost $30 million to $40 million US in the second half of this year, equal to nine to 12 cents a share, Pepsi Bottling said in a statement.
