Another Lebanon Employer To Layoff Workers

Another company is moving its operation out of Lebanon। Over 100 Wilson County workers will lose their jobs। TRW Automotive on Baddour Parkway announced Wednesday it's moving its assembly operations by the end of the year, cutting 105 jobs। The company makes steering components for the auto industry and opened in 1961. It employs about 560 people. Wednesday’s announcement comes just after another company, Hartmann Luggage, across the street on Hartmann Drive, announced it was laying-off 90 workers. G.C. लोसे jobs,” he told News 2. Hixson said the moves are disturbing. He said, “I don't think it's a reflection upon the workforce on people here. They are very dedicated, but it is very concerning." When asked how the local economy stands, Hixson said the unemployment rate is up slightly adding new industry is on the way. Hixson said, “Tackle Seating is a new company coming in the community that produces seats for the Altima, hiring 165 people. A steal operation will hire 70 folks and 160 new jobs at distribution centers.” A TRW Automotive company spokesman said it is unclear where theplant's assembly operations will go. The layoffs will begin in October and should be complete by December.
