Hawaii educational services employment up


Hawaii’s educational services work force has grown nearly 15 percent in the last five years, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The number of workers in the sector increased 14.7 percent, from 12,900 in August 2003 to 14,800 in August 2008.

The educational services sector is made up of establishments that provide instruction and training in a variety of subjects such as schools, colleges, universities and training centers, which may be privately or publicly owned.
