400 STAFFERS ROULETTE GO

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, Atlantic City's newest and most successful gambling venue, has laid off 400 workers due to the tough economy.

Rob Stillwell, spokesman for the casino's co-owner Boyd Gaming, said the layoffs were the casino's first. "We did everything we could to avoid this," he said. "But the economy is just too bad."
